Sann Energi was founded with the idea to answer the question:
"if energy is abundant, why resource is finite?"
Founded in 2018, PT Alpha Sann Teknika Data (Sann) understands the future need of energy sustainability. While clean and green energy has been cultivated over the years, sustaining operations for decades demands more than investment upfront. It requires a systematic approach in operations and maintenance, as well as strategic management in both resource and facilities side. We started the journey with two fundamental ideas: a real time simulator for process and operations optimization for resources-based energy extraction, and advancing utilization of renewables (PV, Wind, Microhydro, Biomass, Biogas) as alternative energy sources.
We received our first order of Solar PV residential in 2019, running 1 KWp continuously until today at Tangerang, Banten home. In the same year, we received our first order of supporting OptiRamp implementation at two large geothermal assets, to support the production of more than 5000 Giga Watt hours of clean energy every year.
In 2020, we established a partnership with Gemabeta initiative to provide villages without electricity in Borneo island, a miniature scale of residential solar pv to help them to gain access to lights at night, to study and to elevate the community life. We pledge to give one house a miniature PV system for every order of Residential Solar PV system.
As the world closed down during 2020-2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PT Sann remained active in business at both Solar PV Residential construction and operations optimization. We maintained our discipline at work by wearing masks, safe distancing, recommended vaccination intervals and daily health checks for employees, either when they are on site, in the office or working from home. As a result, there were zero cases identified due to work-related exposure.
Just like a seed starting to grow to the become a tree, starting 2024, we transformed our organization from the startup type of operation, to an initial growth corporation. We are now focusing our effort to operations optimization with OptiRamp implementation and Solar PV construction consultancy. We continue our support to our PV customers through the end of 25 years of equipment lifetime. Though, new Residential PV customers will be served by our reliable partners after initial engineering phase is completed.
By the end of 2025, our support to operations optimization with OptiRamp has reached the total capacity of more than 700 MW of geothermal energy. By the end of 2027, it is estimated that our support will surpass the total capacity of 1 Giga Watt. This is equivalent to 8760 Giga Watt hours per year of clean energy, a typical power demand of city with 1 Million population. As of 2026, there are only 5 countries in the world who produce 1 Giga Watt or more of geothermal energy: USA, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkiye and New Zealand. A comparable number to top 5 countries in the world is a huge achievement toward our end goal.
